Life’s Little Problems!

March Six Word Photo Story Challenge: “Pet People”

Really must find a better couturier!

Back at our favorite summer spot — the local biological park to gaze at our beloved animals. Sometimes I think they can recognize us. We wait there patiently with our cameras until they decide to make an appearance.

This iguana — we call it Iggy Pop — took its time stepping out of the foliage. I kept imagining I could see it, but it was so beautifully camouflaged that I went cross-eyed staring at it. Then finally, it stealthily made a grand entrance. And posed for the crowd.

Looking at its face, I imagined it going burrp! And then perhaps it was worried about its skin not fitting so well . . . maybe it needed some alterations? A better tailor? That idea made me laugh even as I was fascinated by its skin’s amazing pattern. Its expression reminded me of that old grumpy man who never lets you finish what you are saying and keeps contradicting you.

Of course, my heart broke when I saw fluffy yellow little chicken in the same “house”, co-existing with a monitor, and a couple of snakes. My son empathized when he saw me cry. Sigh.

Can’t wait to visit the park again soon!
