April Six Word Photo Story Challenge: “Rust”

Blending into a rust kissed outback.
When you spot a kangaroo bounding across the outback, the motion and rising dust give its position away.
But when a kangaroo stands motionless, from a distance, its coat seems to blend seamlessly with the iron ochre soil beneath it, making it hard to distinguish where a kangaroo ends and the earth begins.
Up close it’s easier to distinguish the two differing rusty hues.
This month, we want you to dig deep and share your best photos and stories about ‘rust’ — the kind that tells a tale, creaks with character, or looks like it’s auditioning for a role in an apocalyptic romance novel.
