LOOK – ducks!!
Rotto’s eyes bulged.👀
He loves duckies! He wanted to prance off the footpath and frolic with the ducks on the road.
Every morning, on North Street, the wild ducks cross the road. There’s a household that leaves out duck food. There are ducks everywhere — at the house, on the road, still travelling from the river.
Rotto was more than a little excited. Most times, he’s pretty good with duckies (chickens, not so much). There’s a house on our regular Rott-trot with front yard ducks. Rotto usually pops his paws up and peers over the fence, entranced.
But this was too many duckies for a little Rotto to take. He let out a happy WOOF! Like he was saying, “I’m coming to play too!”
But the ducks didn’t speak dog, and they scattered.
