Send Help, I’ve Been Kidnapped

August Six Word Photo Story Challenge: “Food”

--

How Did I End Up Here?

I, Coco Nutt, was comfortably nestled in my palm tree with my family. It was mid-morning (peak sunbathing hours) when suddenly, a parrot squawked loudly. The palm fonds around me parted, and rough hands rudely snatched me from my perch. The perpetrator moved with alarming speed and dexterity.

I was coconut-napped!

I knew one thing: to survive this, I had to keep my eyes tightly shut. If the coconut-napper knew I’d seen their face, it wouldn't matter if my family paid my ransom or not. I’d be cracked open faster than you could say desiccated coconut.

Eventually, the light became too bright, and I had to open my eyes. Just look where I am!! I’m in the fruit market! I’m currently in a state of mild panic. Can you help me get back home to my palm tree?

In case you’re wondering, unlike with Roxy, no, I didn’t have to set up Coco Nutt’s photoshoot. She was just sitting there, eyes and mouth wide with alarm.
