“I’d like to register my interest.”

Chilli’s head popped up the moment I set my cutlery on my plate.

Our dining table sits about 30cm off the wall. It’s not a big enough gap to pop a chair in, and it looks kind of strange. But it makes sense when you factor the other side of the dining table into account.

My laptop sits there. There’s a perfect gap for my chair. And the charger can just reach the nearest power point.

If I moved the dining table over to close the gap near the wall, my perfect laptop place would cease to exist.

Chilli loves the gap between the table and the wall. She’s tall enough to pop her head up, and spy on whatever tasty treat may or may not be on offer. Leaving lunch unattended on the table is never a good idea.

Rotto is nowhere near tall enough to use the gap, so he has a different method of registering his interest in whatever I may be eating. He pops his head on my lap — and, every so often, lets out an I'm ever so hungry I might be fading away whimper.

My dogs may be a tad spoilt!

Thanks for reading, Sandi xx
