The Best Pavlova I’ve Ever Tasted

Crisp meringue. Velvet cream. Fresh Berries.
If you’re anything like me, you can’t always pass up on the guilty pleasure of a dessert indulgence once in a while. Have you ever popped down to your favorite restaurant just to have a small nibble plus a dessert while passing up on a heavy meal?
This is what my brother and I did one evening when we weren’t exactly hungry but still craving something sweet. We’d already spent a few nights prior enjoying the delicious entrees and drinks at Montenegro Moments but this time we just wanted something light.
And wow. Pavlova is one of my favorite desserts anyway. How can a person go wrong with a crisp yet soft baked meringue hugged generously in cream and fresh berries?
I’ve successfully made this dessert at home, but it’s a process that takes time. And the selection offered by Moments was really out of this world. The cream was sweet and tasty but not enough to grow quickly nauseating. The berries were of supreme quality but did not appear as though they should have been tossed a day or two prior (don’t you just hate that). And the meringue had just the right firm yet breakable texture.
