The Man of the House

June Six Word Photo Story Challenge: “Black & White — Freestyle”

When the night falls, cats wander.

We had four cats for several years — all rescued from somewhere. The one in the photo is called Flurk and he was the only male and thus the man of the house — myself not included, but when you have cats, your own life really doesn’t matter that much. I often did photo shoots with nothing more than a flashlight and lots of patience. This is one of the few photos where he chose not to ignore me and look straight into the lens.
