The Night Market in Taiwan

Summer Six Word Photo Story Challenge: “Shine!”

--

Tasty food can outshine the missiles.

The night market is one of Taiwan’s selling points for both international and domestic tourists. You can find all kinds of food and drink here; Taiwanese, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, American, Indian, Mexican, etc., you name it. All the tasty dishes can make people temporarily forget about stupid stuff like China’s threat. As you may have known, after Nancy Pelosi’s visit, China decided to pick on Taiwan and launched a series of military drills around the island country.

Are local people worried? Yes, but we have learned how to stay calm since China has been grumpy and intimidating already for decades. So, no matter what happens, we will still enjoy the night markets, watching the jokes on this grumpy superpower.
