A swan dive stole the show.
Yesterday, when I was walking down by the canal — minding my own business I might add — a large mute swan suddenly hurled himself off the opposite bank and headed straight for me apace.
Eyes full of intent, he had my attention well before he started hissing because he sounded like he was out for a fight.
I froze on the spot.
But, I’d got it all wrong.
Like a true thespian with all eyes on him, he pushed back off the bank and performed the most authentic swan dive ever.
