January Six Word Photo Story Challenge: "Bloom"

I Bloom in my Frozen Cocoon

What a serene and silent Monday morning! Every living thing was either hibernating or asleep. Today is MLK Day, which is observed along with the new president's inauguration. I'm in my own world as I walk on the icy plains of my neighborhood tundra. I'm in a frozen flow state, breathing in the pure air and enjoying the quiet.

I love looking at the suspended blades of grass peeking over the blanket of snow like tall skyscrapers breaching over an overcast of clouds. This January has been bitterly cold for us so far, but I hold on to these moments of calm as I briskly walk and try my best to keep warm. The dry cold and my imagination wrapped me securely in their safe arms.
