This Is Me: A Glimpse Into My Childhood Memories
May Six Word Photo Story Challenge: “This is Me”
Reliving The Joy Of Village Traditions
The traditional Indian method of churning curds (yoghurt) to make butter and buttermilk has been practiced for generations in villages long before machinery and technology took over.
This age-old method is still seen in some traditional homes in villages. I can never forget the taste of hot millet bread with fresh butter churned in this conventional way.
This picture was taken when I participated in a dance competition during my school days. I am dressed in a traditional Gujarati outfit worn by tribal women in Gujarat and Kutch in India.
Our school held a folk dance competition every year, and I actively participated in such events. Scrolling through my school days photo album, I saw that this picture took me back to those memories.
These cherished moments left me smiling and reminded me of all the events I enthusiastically participated in during my school years.
This is my response to Vidya Sury's Collecting Smiles May prompt, “This is Me.” Thank you, Mary Chang Story Writer, Vidya Sury, Collecting Smiles, and Sandi Parsons.
