3 Tips to Improve Your Venue’s Photography

Want more bookings? Beautifully shot and composed photographs on your venue profile means more client interest in your spaces. If you know a few helpful tips, great photos can be taken using a cell phone. Here are 3 simple steps you can take to enhance your photographs and show off your spaces to capture more business.

Take advantage of natural light. During morning hours, light will be soft and golden, highlighting your spaces beautifully. We know not every space has windows, but if it does, use them!

Think about the composition of the photo. Shooting straight on (closer to belly button level) as opposed to eye level can make photos look more professional. Also, making sure lines are straight can also drastically improve interior photography. The easiest way to do this is to turn on the grid feature on your camera phone by going to Settings then Camera and selecting Grid.

Get shots from all angles of the room. This will give clients a better understanding of the space and will capture all of the features of the room. The Wine Room on Oceana’s profile is a great example to reference.

Once you have your beautiful new photographs, uploading them is easy. Log into SixPlus, navigate to the backend of your venue profile, and click into each space. Scroll down to the photo section and click Edit or Add Photos. Click or drag the new photos into the box and make sure to click I’m Done and then Save & Exit.
