Publico Street Bistro & Garden
Publico’s Garden delivers a year-round urban oasis to Boston. The Garden sits inside of an open-air atrium, and features a white marble bar, cozy lounge seating, fire pits, large projection screens and a retractable roof. Perfect for mingling while enjoying craft cocktails and Latin-inspired cuisine among friends, family, and co-workers.
The Patio at PAGU
PAGU prides itself on being a community hub where all are welcome to gather around good food (Japanese tapas!) and good drink. The Patio space, open in the warm months, fits right in to this vibe. It’s easy to imagine spending a couple of hours hanging in the sunshine, snacking and sipping and perhaps getting to know some of the people around you — socializing is encouraged! PAGU even offers a whole-roasted suckling pig for summer events.
The Patio Lounge at Porto
Porto’s Patio Lounge encompasses a large space with an open cocktail bar plus a dining and lounge area. Views of the surrounding neighborhood create the perfect ambiance for a cocktail reception, especially when the sun starts to set and the twinkling lights of the city come alive. Enjoy crisp cocktails and fresh bites from the seafood-centric menu for the perfect summer get-together.
The Patio at Harvest
It’s hard to beat the easy charm of Harvest’s Patio space, which, with its natural wood beams, warm stone and pruned shrubs, could be straight out of an English country estate. If the evening cools when the sun sets, the hearth offers a cozy gathering place. It’s the perfect space for a weekend brunch or a cocktail reception in the evening.
The Patio at EVOO
EVOO has been a stronghold of the local, seasonal food movement in Cambridge with their commitment to using the region’s best products in their artisanal Italian food and pizzas. It just so happens that fresh, local food is best enjoyed al fresco! Luckily, EVOO’s patio is set up for dining outside in comfort. Large umbrellas provide shade and planters create a nice barrier to the street without blocking the views of passerby, making it a great spot for both daytime and evening events.
The Biergarten at Commonwealth Cambridge
Commonwealth’s Biergarten, tucked away on a quiet street in Kendall Square, is an ideal spot for lunch outings and after work happy hours. Casual, picnic table seating, plus four tops and long tables for large tables makes it a flexible space for groups of all sizes. A big tree provides shade and a cool breeze, while the cocktails and selection of rustic bites will certainly refresh on a warm summer day.

Just around the corner from Commonwealth, you’ll find another delightful patio — this one belonging to Za (EVOO’s sister restaurant). Umbrellas and trees provide the perfect mix of sun and shade to keep everyone comfortable, and plantings provide pops of color here and there. The space is great for larger groups, and the ‘za is always a party pleaser — perfect for company outings and cocktail parties.
