We all know the importance of clear communication in the process of planning and booking an event. Our goal at SixPlus is to make it easier for you and clients to communicate directly and to keep the back and forth all in one place — which is where the message tool comes into play.

How does SixPlus Messaging work?

  • On the right side of every proposal there is a message box where you can message the client directly.
  • Messages show up in a thread on the right side of the proposal with a timestamp. The most recent messages appear at the bottom.
  • The client will be notified by email whenever you send a message. You will also be notified by email when they respond or send you a new message.
  • Here’s the best part…You can reply directly to the message from your email inbox, and your response will be logged in the message stream on the proposal.

Gone are the days of multiple email threads that seem to go on for miles! You can read, respond and then refer to message history right where you need it — in the event proposal.

When you respond to a SixPlus message via your email inbox, you can attach any file. The file will be saved to the “Files” section on the proposal and will show up as a link in the message feed.

Understanding The Two Message Boxes

You will note two messaging boxes on the event request when you first receive an event request.

  • The top box, light gray in color, will let you send a message to the client before accepting or declining the proposal. This is good to use when the date the client requested is booked and you want to see if they have flexibility or you’d like to get more information about their event before accepting the request.
  • The lower box, in black, is where you can include a message when you accept or decline the proposal. Let the client know you’re looking forward to hosting them and ask any clarifying questions, then hit “Accept.”

Please keep in mind: Clients use SixPlus to organize their event planning. They may be communicating with multiple venues at one time, which is easier to manage when all of that communication happens in one place. We hope that, since everything can happen out of your regular email inbox, it’s easier for you, too!
