A note on (the absence of) affiliate links

I have recently received a letter from Medium support asking me to disclose affiliate links in my articles on the Sixty Books publication. So here goes:

NONE of the links provided at the end of the articles directing to books are affiliate links. I am not earning a single cent from Amazon or any other book vendor for the links I provide, and I do so solely for the benefit of the readers of my articles, so they can have the ability of purchasing the books I talk about as well. I try, as much as possible, to link to the same format of book I’ve read, so if I’ve read the book on Kindle, the link would naturally be to Amazon, and if I’ve bought the book on Awesomebooks, which I usually do, the link would be to the relevant listing on their site.

For that matter, I am not earning a single cent from writing articles on Medium as well.

I hope this satisfies the legal requirements from FTC and Medium and everyone else involved.
