Powerhouse was created by Roger Bridges, who started the zine in Boston, then briefly in Miami, and finally in San Diego. I’m guessing this was early 1988.

I couldn’t think of a better example of the 80’s skate zine aesthetic than this issue (sorry, it’s all down hill from here, folks). If you’ve ever made a zine, you know how fucking hard it is to get a full picture spread across two different pages, which in your zine master template would be totally different layouts. In this issue, Roger just taunts all his zine making friends with one photo spread after another.

Minds were blown.
