Educator, Noorzai, tells us about the Peace Day celebrations held last month!

More than 250 participants, 50% of which were female, took part in our Peace Day event this year! The guests were students, students’ families, Skateistan staff, Youth Leaders, and employees of governmental and non-governmental organizations.

The event started with recitation of Holy Quran, followed by the female students living with a disability, who performed the national anthem with sign language.

There were many performances throughout the day including a play, a circus, a climbing demonstration and a flying of the Afghanistan flag with a folk music, to create a positive atmosphere for all Afghans!
