What is Skeb
Before deep-diving into Skeb Coin, let’s take a look at what Skeb is.
Skeb launched in November 2018, which is a commission platform that allows fans to request creators to create illustrations, comics, novels, and other works.
Skeb strives for the improvement of the status of creators by providing a platform where they receive rewards fairly. Skeb allows creators to place orders with no estimates, no meetings, and no retakes. This simplified ordering style is time-efficient for creators, and is becoming the standard for work requests to creators in Japan.
By making it simple for creators to place order requests, the Skeb platform differentiates itself from other platforms such as Freelancers, Artwork Archive and Wix.
Here is a historical growth chart for Skeb services: transaction volume on Skeb is growing 10–20% per month, and the platform has grown 1,000x since its release in 2018. The Japanese content market is a $25 billion giant and getting bigger every year.
What is Skeb Coin
Now that we have looked at Skeb services up, but why do Skeb services issue Skeb Coin?
There are two main purposes;
First of all, the use of Skeb Coin allows for diversification of value, creating new creativity and a new culture. Although communication between users takes place through requests, the service relies on credit card payments, so the flow of cash is one-way and does not circulate within the service. If there were a mechanism for creators to request other creators with the sales they receive, or if money could be exchanged more easily in the form of social chips, we believe there is potential for further development as a community in the form of credit creation. Secondly, We want to give back to the users who have supported Skeb so far and thank them by airdrop for those who have used our services.
By giving back to those who use and support our services in this way by airdrop Skeb Coin, we hope to further expand the Skeb economic scope. Next, we will explain the uses of Skeb Coin, tokenomics, and the roadmap of the token.
Tokenomics
First of all, Skeb Coin has a Burn mechanism, which means that Skeb’s payment methods will continue to be available in Fiat, and the addition of Skeb Coin payment will increase the number of payment options available to the clients. Note that not only the virtual currency, but also the fees generated by Fiat will be used for Buy Back & Burn.
Up to 50% of commission that Skeb receives through their service is used to buy tokens on the market. Skeb receives as commission around 5–10% of the transaction volume which includes optional services such as “picture framing”. We plan to offer even more services in the future.
Skeb Coin also has a Token Staking structure. We will announce a more detailed blog on this soon. Also, we are working on making Skeb payments smoother.
