We’ve compiled a list of our top bucket list items to help you make the most of fall.

Pumpkin spice is everywhere. School is back in session. The temperatures are finally starting to come down (bust out the sweaters!). Bring on fall. To help make the most of the season (since it seems to get shorter and shorter every year), we’ve compiled a list of our top bucket list items for fall.

1. Pumpkin everything.

We’re just going to get this one out of the way since you’re all thinking it anyway. Whether a PSL on a cool autumn morning is your vice or you’re more of the “fill-up-the-cart-with-all-things-pumpkin” type, your secret is safe with us. We are already anxiously awaiting the 2018 release of all the pumpkin products Trader Joe’s will be offering…catch up on last year’s extensive list here.

2. Apple picking.

Because it’s not really fall unless you are elbow deep in apples from your trip to the orchard and researching the best apple pie recipe. Wondering how you’re going to get to said orchard? Skedaddle has you covered! This fall, book your seat on the bus heading to Connors Farm Saturdays in October. Get those pie crusts ready.

3. Horror movie marathon.

With Halloween right around the corner, what better way to gear up with a scary movie marathon with friends? Here is Esquire’s list of 40 scariest Halloween movies — if you start now, you should be able to get through all 40 before November…

4. Halloween costume party.

Speaking of Halloween, what other holiday is acceptable to dress like a Snapchat Filter, piece of sushi, or emoji couple? Bring your A-Game in the best costume contest!

5. Football game and tailgates.

Grab a group of friends and get ready to cheer on your favorite team! No football game would be complete without the pregame tailgate, so join Skedaddle this fall for $10 roundtrip bus rides to Gillette for Patriots home games!

6. Leaf peeping.

Yellow, and orange, and red, oh my! Before you plan your fall foliage trips, check out this map from Travel and Leisure on the best leaf peeping times by region. Mark your calendars for October 15th, Boston and NYC — foliage is predicted to be at its peak!

7. Outdoor music festival.

Did we mention the crisp fall air? Sweater season is here, perfect for vibing at one of the last outdoor music festivals before that light breeze turns into a cold freeze.

8. Ghost tours.

What better way to get in the autumn mood than to prepare for Halloween with some spooktastic activities? Channel your inner ghostbuster and take a spooky tour in your own city (here are some of the best ghost tours in NYC and Boston) or take a road trip to another city with an eerie past like Sleepy Holly, NY, or Salem, MA.

What’s on your fall bucket list? Get outside the city all season long with Skedaddle curated trips from NYC and Boston — PSL optional.
