Moving objects horizontally or vertically in Sketch

Hello, beautiful reader! Today I want to share with you one nice tip that helps you move your objects horizontally and vertically in Sketch. This is going to be really quick.

Sometimes it gets tricky to move your elements up/down or left/right only. What I mean by that is that you simply want to move your elements along the x or y axis but the object is actually moving along both of the axis. Take a look at the example below that shows an object moving along both axis.

There is an easy way how “fix” this behaviour. Hold shift to move the elements along the x or y axis only as in the example below.
