Sketch is much more than UI Design Tool. I create not only all my UI Designs there but also images for blogs, banners, ebooks, Instagram posts, Dribbble shots, Images for Twitter, and Facebook. I suppose that you also use Sketch for multiple other digital design things. Sketch Team noticed that and with this update they prepared stuff to help us work faster with social media images!

Sketch 63

What’s new for Sketch 63? Here is the quick summary of the improvements:

  • Cloud uploads become much faster — Sketch Team works a lot on a server’s performance. You will surely notice that when you will work with your next cloud document.
  • Social Media Image Presets — searching for every Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, or LinkedIn image size was a pain in the neck. Now all social media sizes are included in Sketch Artboard Presets!
  • Components Popover improvements — To expand Library, you can now click a whole name, not just an arrow. Much more convenient!
  • Layer & Components long name tooltip— if your layer or component has a long name that is truncated, now Sketch will show you a tooltip with their full name when you hover over the element in the Layer/Component List or Popover.

There are also lots of minor improvements and fixes included!

Sketch for Teams also got a great update recently and introduced Cloud Inspector — Design Handoff. Now you can share your specs with Developers directly from the Cloud.

To share your design specs with developers all you have to do is to mark the checkbox “Inspect” in Cloud Document Settings.

Social Media Image Templates in Sketch 63

There are 29 Artboard Templates prepared for multiple Social Platforms. If you would like to use them, just open a dropdown with Artboard presets and change it to “Social Media.”
