Sketch 66 — Calm Before the Storm
Every month brings us the new version of Sketch. Updates are released at an incredible rate. This time Sketch Team gives us a little time to prepare on some huge things — that’s why version 66 brings only improvements.

Here is a brief summary of the improvements in the newest version:
- Better Cloud Upload — Working with large files in Sketch Cloud? Now upload even with a slow internet connection should be more reliable.
- Components Menu Improvements — Symbols previews display colors that were applied to their master instance (if it was set) or black/white background depending on better visibility.
- Prototyping — the menu was renamed to “Prototype”.
- Performance improvements — Sketch should work now much faster, even with complex files!
There are also lots of bug fixes and minor improvements.

At the end of the year, Sketch published a teaser video with some upcoming features announcements. If you didn’t see it yet, here is the video and blog post:
I really hope that realtime collaboration will be released soon. The majority of us work remotely now, and this would be a real blessing!

To conclude
Personally, I can not wait to see what’s coming soon. I believe that it will make our workflow much easier. However, even the present improvements are nice things because Sketch is working more smoothly!
