We have opened in Atlanta, Georgia. In its crispness, this assertion carries all our emotions, enthusiasm, bewilderment, hopes, expectations and the feeling we are crossing the frontier of a new world.

We have been working with US companies in the last two years, bringing our philosophy within their business, and now, this process of maturation leads us in opening our first international studio. We have decided to open in the US because it is still the frontier of experience design as we know it. Working in such a context means coping with realities that create services for the global competition and work to develop products, systems and services that integrate seamlessly in the daily lives of people. A challenge that we love and that we do want meet.

This is a market where we bring real value thanks to the experience we have gained in the European environment, and, at the same time, we can transfer in the Old Continent what we are learning from this adventure.

This is an opportunity to grow, and go beyond the boundaries, even the cultural ones. As a team as well as a studio, we can live experiences in different contexts, discover new points of view, develop our global identity so that we can guide our clients in creating their own global experience. What we strive for has remained the same since 2006: we want to help companies offer their customers fluid, natural, meaningful and engaging experiences, and we want to support the leaders in building the future of their businesses. We will do this in Lugano, Atlanta and wherever we will be in the future.

Choosing Atlanta has been a challenge as well: according to the Kauffman Index of Entrepreneurial Activity, the state of Georgia experienced the second largest increase in entrepreneurial activity over the past decade. Moreover, Atlanta hosts the biggest airline hub in the US, and in town there are prestigious universities that focus on innovation and design such as Georgia Tech and SCAD — Savannah College of Art and Design.

Jon Ramaci, the Executive Director of our US studio, is our companion in this adventure, and we have set an interesting exchange of views about our company values and culture:

“Sketchin’s proprietary design methodologies complimented by the traditions which are deeply rooted in the Swiss and Italian design culture bring a meaningful and value creative approach to companies who are passionate about creating the best possible experiences for their consumers. I have seen, first hand, these well thought out methods coupled with beautiful design result in dramatically increased customer acquisition and retention for our client companies. We are excited with the reception we have received from the business community in Atlanta. This is a high growth area that have a great demand for the services we provide, namely differentiation that results in increased customer satisfaction.Sketchin has years of experience creating this type of surgical fusion of function, beauty and experience, and I am thrilled to be part of the team that is able to share this with our clients in the US.”

We will be in the Atlanta Tech Village. If you ever pass nearby, come to visit us!
