It’s pretty hard to believe something with such notoriety can be compared to a school dance, but it’s true: Red Carpet fashion can be found at Prom.

Many prom dresses are incredibly similar to styles worn by celebrities on the red carpet.

More often than not, dresses worn by celebrities are created by big-time designers and cost a huge sum of money. Most average teenage girls could never afford a celeb’s dress. However, similar styles are recreated by dress companies that make them available to a wider audience. Without the designer label, these dresses are sold for a lot less, yet look incredibly similar to the original designer’s dress.

Below are dresses worn to the 2015 Junior prom that look like dresses seen on the red carpet.

Jamie Thomas wore a dress that looks incredibly similar to the one worn by Camilla Belle. Both are red, full-length, strapless, and have sweetheart necklines.

Another very close match was Hallie Manchester and Diane Kruger. Both dresses are light blue with semi-sheer fabric on one shoulder.

Guliana Signorelli and Selena Gomez have similar v-neck red dresses.

Rachel Curran wore a dress with an open back and crossed straps. Although Miranda’s dress is a different color, both dresses have sequins or gems added to the straps, as well as a smooth silhouette with a mermaid bottom.

Meghan Zamperini wore a dress that looks like a combination between two beautiful red carpet dresses. The left dress features a high-neck with a cutout similar to Meghan’s, while the dress on the right is a similar color and has scalloped edges just like Meghan’s dress.

Marisa Mosher wore an incredibly unique dress, but it still has similarities to dresses worn by celebrities. Marisa’s white dress has small buttons down the front and delicate lace on each shoulder. This celebrity’s dress may be long sleeved, but it has buttons and a v-neck.

As shown in the above examples, the dresses worn by celebrities at Red Carpet events really aren’t all that different from those worn by teenage girls at prom.
