If you want the most advanced and cutting-edge vehicle on the market, Tesla is clearly the right choice. While electric cars bring some unique challenges to the table, they also offer a future in which clean energy replaces the inherent filthiness of the gasoline combustion engine. Sooner or later, we will run out of oil, and then there won’t be much choice anyway. With that in mind, let’s learn a little bit more about these vehicles.

A Brief History Of Tesla

Founded in 2003, Tesla was named for the famous Serbian inventor Nikola Tesla. More than anyone else, Nikola Tesla is responsible for harnessing the power of electricity. Some people give all the credit to his rival, Thomas Edison, but Edison seems to have spent most of his time ripping off other people’s ideas and electrocuting helpless animals as part of his disgusting demonstrations.

The company is chaired by Elon Musk, who took over the position of CEO in 2004. In 2008, the company produced the much-anticipated Tesla Roadster. Although it has been discontinued since 2008, the Roadster was the first viable electric car on the market. From the start, their goal has been to produce electric cars that are affordable enough for the average consumer.
