Ahoy, ohayo-gozaemas, greetings my fellow gamers. It has been a whirlwind and it still is, SkillGaming continues to grow almost having increased 400% in just 2 weeks to around 10,000 users! But what excites me more is just how much gamers love to battle it out using SG’s unique, no-where-to-be found feature set.

On surface level, SG is just a gaming platform that allows gamers to play for XP (experience points) and kill time. But if you scratch beneath the surface, it’s the primordial soup of a new wave of gaming to come in the already growing $100bn+ global gaming industry. When gamers are ready they can deposit money in normal or cryptocurrencies and faceoff either against each other in real-time in Duel mode, play mini-challenges against the computer known as Challenge mode or wage an all-out war in War mode, aiming to get the highest average score in a 24 hour period in a massively-multiplayer battle. There are around 100 games on the platform thus far with 1 being added each week and we plan to increase this frequency to daily, as we team up with more indie-devs around the world to feature their content on SG. More on that and our Developer program later.

Since starting in Jan 2020, SkillGaming has clocked around 350,000 plays, averaging out at around 1,400 plays per day! But if you take into account the recent growth spurt, this figure is almost 2–3x higher. Over $104,000 of real money has been earned by thousands of gamers around the world and this figure keeps rising. Duel mode seems to be one of the most popular real money options where the winner gets 90% return for winning, the loser loses their stake and 10% is shared between us, affiliates and developers, a truly socio-capitalist model at play.

DUEL

With over 4,500 real money Duels so far, p2p real time faceoffs work and SG has validated this concept.

A Duel is a unique concept. Being purely web and mobile app based, it is truly cross play and allows a gamer to challenge a friend or foe for a quick 60 sec to 10 min battle on any game on SG. You can track your opponents score in real time as they can, yours. The sweat really starts to pour when the stakes are high, not only because there’s money on the line but this is about street-kred ;).

If you lose, you can rematch your opponent for revenge or just walk away with your tail in between your legs.

Beat your opponent 3x in a row in Duel mode, you get awarded the Domination prize.

Chicken out and reject a Duel request outright, and you’ll be called out as a chicken.

All Duels are synchronous, real-time gut wrenching, stressful and adrenaline pumping affairs! Just click on an opponents name and you can quick-message them or Duel request them.

Then you have the Wars. Ooh :).

WAR

My favourite feature is War. I tend to work best when there isn’t time pressure and unlike Duel mode where the gamer needs to whoop ass in just a few seconds, I can take my time and build up my average of top scores over a 24 hour period. War basically can be waged by any gamer who has got a dollar and we’re off to the races.

Any gamer that joins the war can do so by spending a dollar (or more) and for that they get 10 rounds of ammo. You fire 1 round each time you die and submit a score to the Warboard. At the end of the 24 hours, the gamer with the highest average score (SG takes their top 5 scores) gets 80% of the prize pot with the remaining 10% being shared by the runner up and no.3 and the final 10% being shared by SG, affiliates and developers.

I’ve seen some major ego battles play out in Duel mode with things getting pretty heated between gamers in our Telegram channel where all the shit-talking takes place. But in War i’ve witnessed some crazy things were a War that started with a prize pot of just $2.00 ended up being close to $300 within a few hours because egos got involved!

War is interesting because while it takes away the pressure of needing to perform live against your opponent, it does still force you to be as competitive as possible as the system takes the average of your top 5 score submissions (remember each submissions costs you 10 cents $ or 1 round of ammo). As the 24 hour mark approaches and the announcer reminds all gamers of the timer, things really heat up and gamers start to frenzy, trying to get in their highest scores before times up! Here’s something interesting though; SkillGaming doesn’t show the average score, only the top score submitted. So you may end up with a situation where the top dog in any war isn’t actually leading in what matters, as in, the highest average score ;).

So what happens is the really competitive gamers actually start calculating their opponents average scores manually using MS Excel LOL! We’re adding a shop soon with weapons, taunts and upgrades and this will allow gamers in a war to just reveal the average score of any opponent by spending a micro payment (maybe 5 cents?). Then we get to the most popular category which is the Challenges.

CHALLENGE

With 17,384 real money challenges so far, this is the go to place for gamers on SkillGaming. Here the system offers you the ability to enter a mini-tournament which has no time limit and you pay an entry fee, anywhere from $1 to $25 bucks.

It then gives you a required target score you need to meet in the desired game and you can earn anywhere from 70% or 1000% of that fee, the moment you reach the score. The target score varies depending on your skill level and adjusts over time as you improve in the game, along with payouts also going up. Each game has different target scores depending on the type of game it is!

DEVELOPER & AFFILIATE PROGRAM

Then we have our fantastic Developer and Affiliate programs that allow both the indie developer and affiliate who brought the gamer to the site, to earn per transaction. Every day thousands of real money transactions go through the system, either its gamers playing Duels, Challenges, Wars or spending in the shop. But the assets and games on which they spend ultimately belongs to someone or they were referred to the site by someone and these people get rewarded!

Developers up to 73% revenue share per transaction and the same holds true for Affiliates. The video below explains the program in more depth and the marketing assets found inside the affiliate portal provide the affiliate with everything they need to establish a passive income stream.

STATS

SG’s detailed statistics allow gamers to track eachother’s progress and even provide detailed stats on peoples individual rivalries. Who holds how many belts (known as King of the Hill or KOTH records), who leads in Duels, what a gamer’s participation rate is etc.

PAYMENT

As for deposit and withdrawal options, gamers can deposit and withdraw in traditional currencies using a range of payment mechanisms (debit/credit card, bank, e-wallet and cryptos).

For gamers wanting to game with real money, KYC is mandatory but only at withdrawal and most regions are accepted apart from countries that are banned by the OECD sanction lists.

The good news is all gamers upon valid signup (which requires a valid mobile number), receive a free $10.00 credit known as the BUM bonus. BUM stands for Bonus Unlock Meter, a small meter that tracks how many Challenges you engage in, in order to unlock this free money!

Warning, those of you who intend to cheat, SG has some of the better fraud detection mechanisms in play, so watch it ey! >:(

SkillGaming has a game for everyone on earth. Whether you are an avid teen virtuoso pro-gamer in making, or a washed up 80s kid like me just trying to compete, you will find something for you and make many friends, foes and more on SG!
