Since it is already October and we believe many of the final year graduation students in India would have started to work on their term end / final year projects.

So we planned to launch a series of videos wherein we’ll be trying to help you prepare a sample application using an imaginary case study. The series will focus on dos and don’ts and try to touch base on how real-world software development works. This series will be covering only the basics and would not cover all the application security-related topics. While creating applications for real-world usage you will have to take into account, security related concerns as well.

These videos and the associated project should be used as a reference and learning instrument. We hope this series will give you a jump start in analyzing the requirements and understanding how to convert requirements into a working solution. Please note that the final application will not be a full-fledged working application. It will only contain essentials to demonstrate basics.

We will update links for each of the following topics once they are published.

  1. Understanding the business and the problem domain [Published: http://bit.ly/CollegeProjectP1]
  2. Performing technical feasibility and scope analysis [Published: http://bit.ly/CollegeProjectP2]
  3. Project planning and system designing
  4. Developing the system using ASP.NET MVC Framework
  5. Testing & Evaluation of the system for user acceptance

Feel free to leave your views in the comment section. Happy Learning!
