When Jurgen Klopp arrived at Liverpool, he quickly learned the names of all 80 service staff. He then personally presented them for the players, one by one. Jurgen was aware that they all contributed to the achievements of the club, even though some were world-class football-stars and some were regular cooks and masseurs. For Klopp, they all mattered equally.

Rather than worshipping the egos of high-earning footballers, he wanted players and staff that gave everything for the team. Those who were willing to do the hard but necessary work became part of his project to make Liverpool the best team in the world.

When Jurgen Klopp walked into Anfield on his first day as a Liverpool manager in October 2015, he had one key message: “We must turn from doubters to believers.” From day one, he instilled in the player group a belief that they could become the best, and ever since they have worked to achieve this goal.
