Aphelion

A wandering etheree for the wonderous earth

Photo by Shashank Sahay on Unsplash

Storm
stretches.
Her outmost
fingers cling to
the southeast, crawling.
Rolling wind stirs me up.
Hurricanes cluster feed on
archaic cycles of Mother’s
gravity — slowly pulling away.
Fortnight past solstice brings aphelion.
