following the path is déjà vu — even when turned around — a corridor of tree branches, a cairn, a mesa, a mirror

at crossroads: i’ve wished to change the canon, switch the story, change my skin — then sought the sage — where/when they would show up and grant me skills to find my way

trust your guides, my mother said —
and so no idols need
know myself — the communities where connectedness is true
containers for synchronicity and ghosts —

spiritual spillings of great soul work
a book i’ll write myself
memoirs of other-worldly happenings
when we chant a spell that works
