The Beauty of Daily Life
The rhythm of mundane tasks
The morning sky is blue
The birds fly with freedom
The busy road is stuffed with cars
The office goers are laser-focused to reach the office on time
It is a beautiful day.
It happens daily but nobody notices.
The lunch hour arrives.
The workers hustle to grab the food they brought from home
They almost gobble them to not waste time on work
It’s a one-hour break
Everybody laughs and cracks jokes during this time.
It is a beautiful day
It happens daily. But nobody notices.
It’s 6 pm. Time to head back to home.
Everybody is chilled out.
It’s usually a hectic day.
Everybody returns jaded like returning from a war
They enjoy coffee with their family.
Have a nice meal with your family and go to bed.
It is a beautiful evening.
It happens daily but nobody notices.
Such is the rhythm of mundane life.
When we learn to dance to the tune of this rhythm, we feel life.
“Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.”
— Howard Thurman
