at the portal, a softening —
the edges of this dimension
and the one beyond —
lies the mountainscape and river
of my dreams reached
only by the deepest listening
to be here is to weep
to know is to remember
all the lifetimes fleeting —
like a butterfly landing on your hand
or trying to grasp the moon

Water is healing and intuitive. The river is often where I can listen to my inner guides. Also, when I’ve pulled the kayak into the water, swam across the lake, or sat on the shore of the Atlantic Ocean, I’ve received gifts of wisdom. It’s like the water clears away confusion and mirrors the culmination of all my paths. I must remember this more often. These natural spaces are where I meet the High Priestess.
