📣 Announcement for June 2024: Exciting Updates Ahead!

Dear Skydoge Community,

We’re thrilled to share some exciting updates and plans for the near future as we continue to push forward with our project:

Light Wallet Development: We’re actively working on the development of a light wallet an Electrum fork. This will help more people secure their coins, as not everyone is familiar or like to run a full bitcoin core Skydoge node.

Drivechain Launcher Fork and Testing: We have forked the Drivechain launcher from Layertwolabs and we’re gearing up to test the Drivechain launcher on multiple platforms, including Mac, Windows and Linux. This is a friendly GUI that help you manage Skydoge mainchain and all other sidechains.

Rescue the coins on Thunder: Even though around only 1000 coins are stuck on the Thunder sidechain on mainnet, which was caused due to outdated software, we will try to resue the coin using the miners options to steal from a sidechain. This measure if one of many to ensure the safeguard our community’s assets in the event something would go bad on a sidechain. Remember that we are the first project to test Drivechain on a mainnet out in the wild.

Relaunching the Ethside Testnet: Stay tuned as we prepare to relaunch Ethside and introduce our DEX that we have been working on. The testing of Ethside as been going well. No new problems have been detected. The final phase of the testing will begin and if everything goes well Ethside should be on mainnet in the near future.

Testing Other Sidechains: We will be testing all other sidechains from layertwolabs to ensure their functionality and security before going live unto the mainnet. If any of those seems ready for production, it will be submitted to the miners for activation on the mainnet.

Android App Development: We’re in the process of developing a new Android app to provide as the one old is a bit buggy.
