Skycoin Rewards Recap | July 2019

For the month of July SRP was directed towards creating meetup and marketing material to make the barrier to hosting a meetup as low as possible. All other content was still accepted for the month, however, it will all be judged and awarded tickets towards next months show.

What were we looking for then? Meetup Content

Promotional content such as:

• Slideshows
• Video tutorials

• General Skycoin
• Skywire
• CX

Photo Competition

We also tried another new challenge this month in the form of a photo competition. $300 worth of Skycoin is set aside for the best Skycoin related photos.

• 1st gets $80
• 2nd $60
• 3rd $50
• 4th $35
• 5th $25
• 6–10th $10.

The photos were required to be NEW and Skycoin related.

We will be running this again in August, check down the bottom of this article for further information.

We saw around 5 new powerpoint presentations created to help out with meetups, I will be collating a meetup pack in August and adding it to the pinned message in the Skycoin Meetups Telegram room, so keep a lookout for that. Below is a taste of what to expect!

Fray created a customizable meetup flyer that’s already been used to promote a bunch of different events across the globe.

He also created a short promotional teaser for meetups.

To top it off there was a range of brochures, posters and other material that I don’t have space to showcase in this article. The regular content submitted during the month wasn’t voted on, or featured in this article. It will be awarded tickets and added to next months article for the August show.

Results:

The $500 Jackpot rolls over into August’s show and $300 was used for the photo competition, that left the below prizes:

There were 56 spins on the main wheel (two from spot prize wheel) and 10 spot prize wheel spins.

• Shark: Won 6 times ($83.3 per prize)

• Skycoin prize won 2 times ($75 per prize)
• 2 Spins on the main wheel won resulting in 250 & 50 Skycred

All monetary rewards will be paid out in Skycoin.
As per usual we will aim to have the prizes paid out within a week.
The 1 Million Coin Hour prize is an IOU until the Coin Hour Bank is operational. Which should be fairly soon.

August Content Bonus Topic: Skycoin for Dummies

This month is double tickets for anyone who creates “Skycoin for dummies” content. It’s a broad topic, I know… But basically, just think of anything that easily explains Skycoin without being too wordy or confusing. Here’s some ideas to get you on the right track:

• Simple posters
• Brochures
• Skycoin fact cards
• Simple tutorials
• Stuff geared towards kids
• Explainer videos / graphics

Avoid complex terminology and crypto/blockchain terms as a rule of thumb.

Photo Comp Rules:

A max of 3 photos per person, must be Skycoin related and creative.

I will collate at the end of the month and SRP judges will vote.
