Recently, JPMorgan Chase announced a new technology called “Quick Accept.” It directly competes against Square as a payment processing platform for small businesses. With hardware that attaches to a business owner’s smartphone, it can process card transactions. However, that is where the service for the business comes to an end.

These platforms such as Square and now Quick Accept from Chase serve one functionality of a business: collecting money. While Chase claims this service is free, there are several qualifiers. If you are not already a Chase business customer, you will need to sign up for their services and meet a threshold of payments processed per month, otherwise you will be hit with a fee.

Chase’s fees don’t differentiate that much from Square.

“The new platform will have processing fees that are on par with what competitors like Square (NYSE:SQ) and PayPal (NASDAQ:PYPL) charge, with a 2.6% plus $0.10 fee for tap, dip, or swipe transactions with the card reader, or 3.5% plus $0.10 for card-not-present transactions keyed into the mobile app,” according to the comparison from The Motley Fool.

Outside of the hardware allowing businesses to take payments in store, there doesn’t appear to be much support online or for businesses needing to pivot for contactless payment.

Fortunately for small to medium sized enterprises, Sky Systemz services all aspects for our customers, and goes above and beyond the basic smartphone attached card reader being offered by Square and now Chase.

“This product won’t be used by furniture stores, tire shops, and larger retail and services companies. We are still the only company that serves SMEs that lack technology sophistication,” says Brian Nichols, Sky Systemz CEO.

Sky Systemz doesn’t stop at offering the hardware needed to process payments in person (including a tablet, card reader, and online access). Sky becomes a true partner with these businesses, at a lower cost compared to the fees being charged by Square and Chase.

Once a business is aligned with Sky, they have access to an owner dashboard. This dashboard allows an owner to customize products, have an unlimited number of separate accounts under the umbrella of the business, multiple options for tips, the ability to add temporary products, request payment via text, email, or link, and automatically sets up an online store using the information input to the main dashboard.

This business owner’s dream is the only answer for those struggling with payment processing issues, online store issues, and a digital presence in our current world.

Chase and Square have set up their conglomerates with 1–800 numbers and self-help tutorials where a business owner is just another person waiting on hold while someone “looks up the account to see what’s going on” when there is an issue.

Sky Systemz has one dedicated account manager for each customer. That customer calls that account manager who is familiar with the account because he or she is the one who set it up. That account manager walks the customer through setting up products, processing transactions, and makes sure every aspect of the technology is working for the business.

While these bigger corporations and banks come in and take a percentage off the top simply for processing a payment, Sky actually takes the time to partner with businesses and help them grow.
