Introducing: SkyWatch Plus — Monthly insurance plan for commercial drone service providers
We are proud to introduce a new monthly coverage solution, built closely together with our incredible pilot community.
It’s been two months since our official launch and in that time we’ve been blessed with the opportunity to speak with hundreds of pilots and be challenged with unique requests on a daily basis — many of those are now becoming inherent features in our product.
Let’s take Justin for example, an all-around drone professional that specializes in 3D mapping and photography for Real Estate. As a safe pilot, Justin pays an average of $7.5 per hour for $1M liability coverage. With 10 hours of flight a month, his monthly payment sums up to ~$75. Justin, and many other “frequent flyers”, lead us to create SkyWatch Plus, a monthly program created especially for them. With the introduction of SkyWatch Plus, Justin now pays around $50/month — 33% less!
How does SkyWatch Plus work?
SkyWatch Plus users are covered all month long and their monthly rates are determined by the chosen liability limit and the available discounts . The best part — both the Safety Score and Insurance Experience rate discounts (as listed in the app) are fully applicable for the monthly plan! SkyWatch Plus brings additional flexibility to our service and suitable to all drone operators from occasional users to large fleets and enterprises.
In addition, although highly encouraged, it is not required to fly with the mobile app once you are covered by the monthly plan. The SkyWatch app can be used to get higher liability limits for a specific job.
