We’re doing a hackathon with Product Hunt
This November, bring your nascent app ideas to life
If you’ve been toying with a new idea for a Slack app, now’s your chance. We’re teaming up with Product Hunt for a non-traditional online hackathon that will bring together builders across the globe.
You’ll have the month of November to build and submit a project of any type, or focus on categories like social impact, blockchain, AR, machine learning, and more.
There’s a special category for Slack apps, too, with the winning team getting their pick of two iPhone Xs — all the better for testing your next bot – or a trip to San Francisco to have lunch with Slack’s CEO Stewart Butterfield. You’ll also get the chance to pitch your product for potential investment in the Slack Fund, and of course, you’ll take home a care package of Slack swag.
Your project will be evaluated by a panel including Alexis Ohanian, Reddit co-founder; Anil Dash of Fog Creek Software; Sarah Tavel, GP at Benchmark; and Slack’s own VP of Engineering Michael Lopp, just to name a few.
The hackathon begins November 1, and you can sign up here. We can’t wait to see what you come up with!
