  1. You wake up the next morning to find out you’ve been blocked on all forms of messaging.
  2. You ignored red flags when you first met because of the promise of good food and benefits.
  3. Your friends swarm you with texts asking for updates.
  4. Your therapist recently told you about Maslow, and you cry yourself to sleep, knowing that your hierarchy of needs isn’t being fulfilled.
  5. They told you a month ago that they could see a long-term future with you.
  6. They tell you that it’s not you, it’s them.
  7. They assure you it’s just bad timing.
  8. You felt like you had something meaningful until you realized you were just being used for your body.
  9. You reactivate your Twitter account from 2014 and subtweet them into oblivion.
  10. You decide to focus on yourself and pick up hot yoga and self-help books.
  11. You’re looking at a farm in Wyoming where you can live a life of self-sustenance.
  12. You end up just binging on Netflix and UberEats.
  13. You promise this will never happen to you again, until you eventually go back on the search… because you’re desperate.
  14. People comfort you by telling you that it’s just a numbers game.
