The Great Gatsby

After Gatsby’s death, Nick starts a hotline for people who are stuck in the past to help talk them down. Instead of a novel, he writes a zine, “Old Sport,” about how the wealthy have no accountability or integrity. In honor of Gatsby, a remorseful Daisy and Tom start a sad scholarship for West Egg Community College called “Failed American Dreams” for broke young boys with big dreams.

Frankenstein

Victor and Elizabeth attend couples counseling before they marry and mutually decide to end the relationship because Victor still won’t stop calling Elizabeth his sister. The Creature recognizes that he’s not ready to be in a relationship until he learns to love himself first. He tells Victor to hold off on building a partner for him, then goes on a journey of self-acceptance along the Pacific Coast Trail. He turns the experience of exploring his inner beauty into the best-selling memoir Wretch No More, which is later adapted as a movie starring Joaquin Phoenix.
