- Journalists are professionals who document news for websites, magazines or newspapers. Pacifists by nature, journalists nonetheless possess an uncanny tendency to be shot at by law enforcement (often while requesting to specifically NOT be shot at by law enforcement).
- Also known as “Members of The Press,” journalists are known to employ the phrase “I’m Press! I’m Press!” when forcibly thrown to the ground.
- Journalists will even carry laminated cards with “Press” written on them. These cards are typically knocked out of their hands during their arrests.
- Journalists (or “reporters”) can often be found in their natural habitats: clearly identified “Press Areas.” Press Areas are neutral zones which are easily overrun when using tear gas, baton clubs and nonlethal bullets.
- Broadcast journalists are sometimes accompanied by a cameraperson who will display expensive camera equipment to police in an attempt to avoid a baton beating. This rarely succeeds.
- Broadcast news cameras are distinctly unique from non-broadcast cameras. You can tell a broadcast camera from the gaping bullet hole in its lens.
- Attracted to open flames, journalists will unwillingly be pushed into fires, should they be inclined to squat near them.
