My Sudden Interest In Saving The Bees Has Nothing To Do With My Inability To Save My Marriage
As many of you might have noticed, I’ve taken on a new passion project of late. I’m sure you’ve seen me posting about it on social media, received my emails asking you to sign petitions, or even had the pleasure of engaging with me about this cause in a one-on-one setting. While some appear to be interested as I hop up on my honeycomb soapbox and expound on the importance of saving the bees, others have expressed skepticism regarding my newly developed desire to save these glorious guardians of our ecosystem. To the doubters, I want to make something perfectly clear: My interest in saving the bees has absolutely nothing to do with my inability to save my marriage.
For me, saving the bees is about more than advocacy, it’s about ensuring that our children have a better tomorrow — even though I am currently estranged from my own children and they refuse to take my calls. Contrary to popular belief, I’ve pretty much always been a bee boy and while I never vocally expressed my interest in the important role pollination plays in our everyday lives, a latent love of bees was always there.
