What I Would Ask Ringo If I Ever Have The Chance To Interview Him

He was in a band bigger than The Beatles.

Me: Thank you so much for agreeing to this interview, Sir Richard.

Ringo: Just “Ringo” is fine.

Me: You must get so tired of interviewers asking you the same questions over and over again about The Beatles.

Ringo: That’s all right. After all, we were the greatest band in the land.

Me: Beatles this, Beatles that. The Beatles broke up fifty years ago.

Ringo: I know.

Me: It’s as if people don’t care that you had a life before The Beatles and have a life after The Beatles. What I want to know, and what so many Ringo fans want to know is —

Ringo: Yes?

Me: Do you regret leaving Rory Storm and the Hurricanes?

Ringo: Hm.

Me: They were one of the top acts in Liverpool in 1960. Sometimes — what? — 100, 200 people turned out to see them.

Ringo: Yeah, we played pubs and clubs.

Me: Rory and the Hurricanes, featuring Ringo Starr!

Ringo: Well, it was Rory and the Hurricanes, not Ringo and the Hurricanes.
