You Don’t Need To Worry About The 2024 Presidential Election Because “Red One” Hits Theaters Ten Days Later
With Democracy — once again — hanging on by a thread, many Americans are looking toward November’s presidential election with trepidation. Pitted against one another are two political figures of advanced age: One is an outright criminal, and the other is a guy with a mean dog whose biggest strength is having been best friends with a cooler, younger guy about ten years ago. Perhaps more than trepidation, some are outright petrified at the thought of their candidate losing. But I’m here to tell you, America, that you can rest easy because on November 15, ten days after the election, the Christmas-action-adventure-comedy film Red One hits theaters.
Don’t get me wrong when I tell you that Trump vs. Biden is important. But doesn’t it kind of make you feel better knowing that you’ve got Red One, a Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson/Chris Evans/J.K. Simmons joint coming out just after the votes are tallied? More than just your run-of-the-mill cinematic three-hander, Red One has a plot that is certainly capable of uniting the political parties: After Santa (J.K. Simmons) is abducted, one of his top North Pole operatives, Callum Drift (The Rock), is forced to team up with the most famous bounty hunter in the world, Jack O’Malley (Chris Evans), to save Christmas.
