Social Media has become the most powerful form of marketing and market research the world has ever seen. Today it is not about who is present on social media. It is about who excels at connecting with people in a way that resonates with them.

Given the amount of content we need to publish to keep people happy, it might become difficult to handle it. Today we have a great selection of tools that can make our job easier. Prepare your content from time and schedule posting at times of peak interest.

In this article, I decided to share with you my personal opinion about Zoho Social because I noticed it became quite famous because of its affordable price.

After using for a long time other social media tools, I think Zoho still has some improvements to work on, but taking into consideration that is one of the most affordable ones, I guess you can do your job just fine.

Pros:

  • bit.ly Integration & URL Shortener: Not every social management tool included this option as part of their functionality. In my personal opinion this is very helpful and essential to brands and not only.
  • Easy Rescheduling: You can easily move your scheduled posts from one day to another by using a drag and drop feature.
  • Repeat Post Option: Maybe there are posts that are important for you and you want to repost them again and again. Well, you can easily do that by clicking a checkmark box. Choose to repeat posts weekly or monthly on a specific day.
  • Bulk Schedule: Organize your social content for the entire month or more. Upload a spreadsheet with all the posts and add the day and hour you want to publish them.
  • SmartQ Predictions: This feature helps you publish whenever your Zoho tool thinks your audience is the most active

Cons:

  • Limited team members access no matter the plan you choose. If you want to add more users, you need to pay extra for every user. If you want your client to approve the content, they have to be added as a user at an additional cost.
  • The App Crashes On Safari: Whenever I’m trying to use the “New Post” Feature, the app freezes before I can do anything further. This problem happens only for Safari users.
  • Limited Social Media Accounts: Unfortunately, Zoho doesn’t let you connect more than one business page of every social channel. For example, if you have more Facebook pages for the same brand(one for the UK and one for Europe), you can only connect one.
  • No Visual Feed Planner: I would like the publishing calendar to allow us to see a real preview of the post and also include the creative(image or video).
  • No Personalized Content Per Platform: All posts have to be in the Twitter character limit if you are selecting to post within all. Other platforms allow you to make adjustments for every single platform and customize it however you want.

STANDARD — €10/month

PROFESSIONAL — €25/month

AGENCY — €200/month

AGENCY PLUS — €300/month

In conclusion, every social media publishing tool has its advantages and disadvantages, some of them being more complex than others, but also more pricy.

Whatever tool you choose, there is always an immediate benefit of using social media automation. The first and most important one is saving time. The possibility to schedule posts to all social media channels from one app can free up a lot of hours.

Use this extra time to invest in other important marketing activities like content creation, reporting, and analysis, user engagement, etc.

So, to answer the final question, it is worth it to use Zoho Social as your social media publishing tool or not?

Well, this depends on your social media needs and budget. If you are a small company with just a few employers, you might do your job just fine, even with the free version. You can also upgrade to the paid €10/month version, which is still affordable and gives you access for two members.
