Want to have some alcohol? Well, it is not that easy if you’re in Sweden. According to the the law, people above 18 can purchase alcohol under 3.5% at supermarkets, restaurants, and bars. However, people must be over 20 years old if they want to buy alcohol over 3.5%, and they can only purchase it in Systembolaget. Systembolaget, founded in 1955, is a government-owned chain of liquor stores in Sweden. The purpose of Systembolaget is to reduce the alcohol consumptions of Swedish citizens. Therefore it induces high taxes on alcohol, no discount, and no advertisement to reach its goal. However, some people ask for the government to abolish Systembolaget, for the reason that it becomes meaningless. Nowadays people can go to other countries (such as Danmark) to purchase cheap alcohol and comeback to Sweden.
想在瑞典來一杯？可沒有那麼簡單。根據瑞典法律規定，年滿18歲者可以在超市、餐廳和酒吧購買酒精濃度3.5%以下的酒精飲料；若是想買濃度高於3.5%的酒，則必須要年滿20歲，並且到Systembolaget才能購買。政府仍於1955年設立Systembolaget，為瑞典特有的酒精專賣機構，是除了餐廳、酒吧之外，唯一能在瑞典買到濃度高於3.5%酒精飲料的地方。整體而言Systembolaget透過提高價格、不打廣告，以及沒有促銷活動的手法鼓勵大眾不要飲酒過量。Systembolaget的存廢一直是瑞典爭論的議題，因為人們可以到酒品便宜的國家（例如丹麥）購買大量的酒回到瑞典。
Det är inte så enkelt att köpa alkohol i Sverige. När man är 18 år får man köpa alkohol på restauranger och barer. Men på Systembolaget får du inte handla förrän du har fyllt 20 år. Systembolaget (även kallat Systemet också) är ett statligt företag som man kan handla alkohol över 3,5% volymprocent. För att minska alkoholkonsumtionen i Sverige, Systembolaget säljer alkohol med hög skatt, har ingen reklam och inga rabatt pris. Många tycker att Systembolaget är jättedålig, eftersom man kan köpa billigare alkohol i andra länder och åka tillbaka till Sverige.
