2016 is gonna be a great year for music
If 2015 was not a very remarkable year for music, 2016 is gonna be very important. We are waiting for a lot of releases in these upgoming months, and here I tried to list the most interesting for us, in a random order, considering the alternative scene. Because music is able to give a sense to our life most of the times, and many moments will be forever associated with a particular song.
Radiohead
Their next album is gonna being released soon; we don’t know exactly when, but everybody is waiting them like on “En Attendant Godot”. For now we only know an extract of the album artwork visible down here.
Moderat
Save the date! On the first of April it’s gonna being published their third studio-album. The german band has already become a pillar of electronic music, especially in Europe. They have announced a big tour during this year.
Flume
This is gonna be a big a great one! The australian producer is one of the most prominent talents. We have already fallen in love with his last single and all his first album. Here, below, you can check the trailer of this upcoming album. The suspance is very high. Meanwhile, you can listen to the first single here.
Jon Hopkins
He is the master. After the timeless masterpiece called Immunity , Jon Hopkins announced in November 2014, from Tokyo, that he started working on the next album. We also checked his Twitter account, and even if there is nothing official yet, the release will probably be on this year. Here there’s a track from Immunity that I still cannot believe.
Tim Hecker
Tim Hecker is the guru of experimental music. He has announced a new album for this year. It will be published with 4AD, after an official announcement with a small tour in the US and two dates in Europe. The Ravedeath 1972 was one of the gratest albums ever.
The Strokes
I am talking about the coolest rockband today. After an amazing album (Comedown Machine) from 2013, Julian Casablancas said in September 2015, that the band is in the studio to work on the new album. I presume that we will be able to hear it on this 2016, even if there’s nothing official yet.
Also I cannot help to remind you about The XX, Gorillaz, Metronomy, M83, Daughter, Metric and Kanye West. The last one, already said that his album will be the best studio-album ever recorded. We’re gonna see…
