Learning and Experiencing DeFi in a Gamified Way with Ooze Finance
I can still remember well how it was when I came into contact with DeFi two years ago. So many terms I had never heard before, so many concepts that took me no small amount of time and learning to understand. It was the passion I had developed for this new field in crypto that finally made me understand how DeFi works.
It all comes back to me when I’m doing my new favorite daily activity: connecting my wallet to the Ooze Finance dapp, checking and re-investing my daily rewards, looking at if and how many extra rewards I’ve received for activities that support the stability of the system, and checking how the Ooze token price has evolved from yesterday to today.

The Sewer: This is where OOZE is grown and multiplies. Come here to mint your NFT with OOZE tokens, claim or compound your daily rewards, make further deposits, as well as upgrade your NFT with your earned XP (which stands for “Extra Potential”). Did it say: NFT?
Why NFT: I would say that this is the greatest innovation of this project. We are used to connectig to a Dapp with our wallet and all transfers are done through the interaction of this Dapp with our wallet. It’s completely different with Oooze Finance: each resident can mine one or any number of NFTs, which represent the entire business of that resident, so to speak. All rewards and dividends, all Extra Potential points, even the complete downline (if such a downline exists), are mapped in these NFTs and can be transferred (as a gift, as an inheritance, as a financial transfer) or even sold. The Swamp: This is the source of all OOZE (the token of Ooze Finance), and a place to earn further rewards. How can you use your Extra Potential (XP)?
This is yet another gamification of an investment decision. Your NFT has three different properties that you can change (i.e. improve) using XP:
Strength: by assigning XP to strength you can increase the total growth of your deposit from a base 8x up to 12x.
Speed: allocating XP to Speed increases your daily ROI from a base 1% up to 2% daily.
Stealth: Increases your automatic kickback from taxes to the system from a base 25% up to 75%.
My daily routine
Let me return briefly to what I have described as my favorite daily activity:
every morning I first go to the Sewer to look at what I have received as a daily reward since yesterday. It´s 1% Ooze per day and the picture below just
doesn´t reflect this because of my greediness to deposit rewarded Ooze already last evening.
So what I do then is Top-up my balance with the available Ooze. That´s nothing else than compounding — the eighth wonder of the world according to Albert Einstein. I´m sure you know how quickly an investment can grow by compunding a 1% daily interest!
At the same place, just a little bit further down, I see the XP that I have earned by positive actions for the system. And I take a decision as to where I´m allocating these XPs for: in my case this is primarily speed, because I want to increase my daily ROI from 1% to 2% by my positive actions, which are: compounding my investment, airdroping to my team members, adding team members or buying and staking SLIME liquitity into the Swamp.
