Greetings, fellow slingers!

It has been a long time since the last release, but we are back with a monster update for you all, our biggest one yet, so I hope you enjoy it!

What is in this release?

New Features

This release brings a plethora of fixes and minor improvements, as well as the ability to create “Web2" accounts via Discord that do not need Metamask, oh, and the Web2 accounts also work on mobile!

Updates have also been made to the app in general to give you all a little more to do. We have added in-app notifications and comments to the Discussion section in Ideas so you can add publicly viewable feedback. A new quest and rewards system has been added to earn $SLING (now called Gems) through in-app interactions and a new referral system developed to allow us to work with and reward key community members and partners for sending more Slingers to the platform.

On a personal note

I have tried to summerise 12 pages of individual tickets/releases into the list above. This update has been a huge undertaking, and I would like to thank all of the devs and community members that have made this release happen.

With this release we will open the community to an audience of none Web3 savvy users, and those that do not wish to manage their own tokens and gas. With one of the main principles of the Slingshot being to allow anyone to turn their ideas into reality, this for me is a very exciting change that will hopefully bring more people, ideas and experiences to the DAO.

I am looking forward to welcoming the new users that this release will bring to the platform and especially look forward to hearing your feedback.

Much love,

Mike | Engineering
