We’re excited to announce some great new features we’ve been working on for the last month here at Slite.

Top of the list is the ability to work outside of your team with editable shared notes, as well as improved commenting, organisation and Slack notifications.

Read on to find out what’s new!

📝 Edit mode for public notes

You can now collaborate in real-time with people outside your team by setting your public notes as editable! Give it a go here 😏

💬 New comments panel

Have you noticed your new comments panel? We’ve given it a fresh new look as well as making it easy to understand who will get notified. Try it →

👪 Groups

Our paid Standard plan now includes the ability to better manager users with the introduction of groups.

This means that provisioning new users on Slite is easier than ever. Once you’ve set up your group permissions, just add a new user to their appropriate groups and they will have the correct access to all the notes they need.

🗂 Improved organisation

Need to tidy your Slite? Moving notes and collections across channels just got a whole lot easier. You can now drag entire collections of notes into different channels or multi-select notes and collections by hitting CMD (CTRL on Windows) + click and move them anywhere.

Moving notes and collections is also now on mobile.

📣 Send Slite activity to Slack

Our Slack integration allows easy sharing of notes from Slite. Now, it also keeps your team in sync by sending updates to any Slack channel when notes are created or edited. Just pop into the settings of any channel in Slite and connect it to Slack.

What’s next?

We have a lot of great new features coming over the following weeks, including:

  • The ability to share entire channels to anyone with a link (sneak peek!)
  • Placeholders for easier note templating
  • The ability to expand and collapse sections of notes
  • Easily linking to sections and headings within notes
  • More powerful tables with drag and drop and resize support
