The Ultimate Avila Experience

What to expect from this year’s VIP lounge

Harvest on the Coast’s Avila Experience is open to any ticket holders staying in Avila Beach during our end of harvest celebration! We’ll be pouring reserve & library wines, large format bottles, in addition to food and wine pairings by Chef Tommy Noel of the Gardens of Avila Restaurant. Not only that, but you’ll be rubbing elbows with SLO Wine Country’s winemakers and proprietors, learning about the wine and getting the inside scoop on this years harvest.

SLO Wine Country Winemakers and Proprietors

Niner Wine Estates winemaker Molly Bohlman

After an introduction to the world of wine during a study-abroad in the South of France Molly had the bug. She began her education at the University of Minnesota and finished it at Cal Poly with a BS in Fruit Science and a Minor in Wine & Viticulture. In the 20 years since, she has methodically worked across several functions within the industry seeking to understand sales, vineyard science and winemaking-by-doing.

Pouring: 2014 Reserve Pinot Noir

Verdad winemaker Louisa Lindquist

Louisa Sawyer Lindquist has been making wine for her label, Verdad, since 2000. She has been involved in the wine business since the 80’s, and has known her destiny as a winemaker since the age of 18. Her wines have a beautiful femininity; vibrant acid, flowery nose, earthy / minerally complexity, that pair well with food.

Pouring: Magnum of 2010 Sawyer Lindquist Pinot Noir

Saucelito Canyon winemaker Tom Greenough

Tom literally spent his first year in the vineyard, before his parents Bill and Nancy moved from their house in the canyon to a more convenient location in Edna Valley. Tom would visit the vineyard regularly throughout his childhood, helping out during harvest and doing odd jobs for his father. He later attended St. Mary’s College of California in the Bay Area, where he studied history and excelled as a member of the crew rowing team. After graduation, he returned to the Central Coast — and to the vineyard, of course. He ascended to the position of winemaker in 2009.

Pouring: 2015 Zinfandel & 1880 Old Vine Zinfandel

Biddle Ranch Vineyard proprietors the Fortini’s and the Rawlings

Biddle Ranch Vineyard was conceived by a group of friends with a strong appreciation for fine wine, good food, and the beautiful Central Coast. Every element of Biddle Ranch — the wine, the setting, and the people are consistent with the way we feel life should be: simple, authentic, and inspired.

The Fortini’s and Rawling’s families are proprietors in Biddle Ranch Vineyard, working hard to create a space where wine, family and friends, and community all intersect.

Pouring: 2014 Sparkling Wine
